And lest I forget the rock python of January 2013

It certainly has been quite a year for wildlife on our place outside windhoek! What with brazilians of vultures, brown hyaenas, honey-badgers and a cheetah kill, I forgot to repost the pic Liz and I got of the   african rock python – well over 4.5 metres long – photographed on one of our farm roads.   Apparently female (don’t ask me how:-)), we found her in the late afternoon on 3 January – in beautiful condition.

Only the measure-line has been photoshopped – trust me!
